It's a new week. Therefore, new "50 Shades of Grey" rumors continue to fuel the casting arena. In a recent tweet, E. L. James posted photos of Universal Studios, hinting to fans that she was hard at work on the forthcoming film. But alas, fans have yet to hear any official word on who is to fill the coveted, raunchy roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Several potential candidates remain clear frontrunners in "50 Shades" contention, however new contenders quickly cycle in and out. Sometimes it feels like a free for all, other times it's as though an official casting decision is right around the corner. It's a mess. If only James and Universal would make their announcement soon, fans could rest easy at night instead of toiling with the thought of their personal favorites fulfilling the kinky roles.

One favorite in particular has slowly been climbing the ranks in the past couple weeks as his newest and most prominent film to date is snagging headlines left and right. Now that "Man of Steel" has made it through its first weekend in theaters worldwide, Henry Cavill has secured his spot as one of the most sought after Christian candidates alongside Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder. His approval on the Twittersphere has increased tenfold since the "Man of Steel" debut this past weekend.

JaneDueker: "Man of Steel Henry Cavill as Christian Grey. 50 Shades of Yes!!"

Soniaquiroz: "Henry Cavill is a good aspirant for the role in 50 Shades of Grey, he's so f------ hot!! #Christian Grey"

DancemomMonique: "Henry Cavill = perfection!! How did God make such a gorgeous man! #ManOfSteel #superman #christiangrey #fiftyshades"

Crystalbrosas: "Clark Kent. He can be Christian Grey too."

Get_A_Kluh: "I want Henry Cavill for 50 Shades of Grey."

Gabgrc: "Henry Cavill needs to be Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey."

Adrianaolivera: "Can Henry Cavill please be casted as Christian Grey in 50 Shades?! I think I'm going to go see Man of Steel just for him.."

Moosy_R: "Apparently even Henry Cavill is in the running for 50 Shades of Grey... why can't they just disclose who gets ittt??!!!"

And there's plenty more where that came from. The "50 Shades" wheel keeps turning and doesn't show any signs of stopping soon. Do you agree with the members of the 'Cavill for Christian' bandwagon?
