Week 6 of "La Voz Kids" saw the beginning of the battle rounds. The contest format showcased three children singing the same song simultaneously with only one child being picked to remain in the competition.
For the rehearsal periods each coach asked the help of another recording artist. Paulina Rubio worked with Luis Fonsi while Prince Royce had Frankie J observe. Meanwhile Roberto Tapia invited the Olga Tanon.
The first battle of the evening was between Alondra, Alexis, and Yensid from Rubio's team. Tapia said the three had chemistry but said Alondra was the best. Royce agreed and said Alondra was incredible. Rubio eventually went with Alondra because she had a strong voice.
Laura, Angela and Jaswiry followed from Royce's team. Rubio loved the three singers while Tapia said the Angela had difficulty with her high notes. Royce ended up choosing Angela to remain in the competition.
The next battle was from Tapia's team. Christopher, Emily, and Miguel Angel sang a regional Mexican song. Rubio and Royce were ecstatic about the three children but it all came down to Tapia. The singer chose Emily and eliminated Christopher and Miguel Angel.
Adrian, Amanda and Ryan were the next to duel from Royce's team. Tapia and Rubio praised Ryan's performance but said that Adrian and Amanda were both great. Royce said he did not have a decision but ultimately picked Amanda because he believed she was energetic in her performance.
The following three singers were Kayley, Sebastian, and Alanis from Rubio's team. Tapia and Royce both applauded the three singers for their energy. Rubio was proud of her teammates but ultimately chose Alanis
Edgar, Madalyn and Brian from Tapia's team were the final battle. Royce enjoyed Madalyn the most while Rubio said Edgar had good stage presence and Brian had an incredible voice. Tapia decided on Brian because he felt that the youngster had the better voice.
The battle rounds will continue next week on Telemundo.
