Amanda Bynes has confirmed her first album on Twitter.

The former child actress stated that she was looking forward to working on her new album and would be touring. She wrote, "I'm so looking forward to recording my album and going on tour! I can't wait to see you all at my concerts!"

The news comes a few days after Daniel Herman of Chinga Changa records said that major record companies Sony and Orchard had approved the album. He stated, ""I cleared the project with The Orchard and Sony Entertainment and they gave me the green light to go ahead."

Herman also revealed that he had spoken to Bynes' attorney for approval of the contract. "I think she's more gangster than Drake. The fact that Amanda wants to do hip-hop music means that Chinga Chang label is the best place for her to do this, because of my past experience with bringing pop and legitimate hip-hop together," he said.

Bynes recently expressed her desire to change her career path when stated she wanted to open a clothes line and record an album. She said, ""My line will be a mixture of sick styles, and it's going to be for everybody. I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's clothing line, Elizabeth and James, and I love how Justin Bieber dresses."

She added "I love singing and I can't wait to start working on an album."

On May 27, she also hinted a record deal when she tweeted,  "Look forward to seeing me in music videos! I'm getting in shape and getting a nose job! I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer/rapper!"

Bynes has already been endorsed by rapper Waka Flocka Flame who said that Bynes had her own personality and that he already had a production team that would back her career. He added that he believed  Bynes should change her artistic name to AB.
