Injustice: Gods Among Us welcomed its latest barrage of DLC today with the arrival of Mortal Kombat alum Scorpion, the Blackest Night 1 character skin pack, the Red Son 2 pack, and the Batman Arkham City pack. Season Pass owners are granted free access to the content, but anyone else can purchase Scorpion for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), or any of the packs for 240 points each. NetherRealm's latest update is available on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Network.
This new iteration of Scorpion features a radical costume redesign, courtesy of DC's legendary artist Jim Lee. The character's trademark armor now reflects the shape of a scorpion's body, in a fairly obvious, but elegant change to the status quo. The developer has released a "History of Scorpion" video alongside footage of his new moveset in Injustice, which can be viewed below.
As for the new character skins, the Blackest Night 1 pack adds zombie versions of Doomsday, The Flash, and Superman to the mix. The Arkham City pack features new skins for Batman, The Joker, and Catwoman. Lastly, the Red Son 2 pack updates the roster with new costumes for Batman, Deathstroke, and The Green Lantern.
Scorpion joins Batgirl and Lobo among the stable of DLC characters that have released since Injustice hit store shelves. Martian Manhunter, Red Hood, and Zatanna are rumored to launch as DLC in the near future, but NetherRealm has commented on any speculation as of yet.
