As the world prepares for the new Robin Thicke album, the R&B singer continues to snag headlines. Thicke has established an impressive career and his previous albums have been successful, but this time around things are different. The hype surrounding his upcoming album,Blurred Lines, is like nothing the singer has ever experienced before. The title track, "Blurred Lines," topped the UK singles chart for the second week in a row and has gained critical acclaim and worldwide recognition for it's provocative and alluring music video. Now his album is a month away and is ready to make a major splash upon its arrival, one that Thicke has never seen before.

With a No. 1 single and highly anticipated album on the way, Thicke recently sat down with Metro UK and talked about his rising success. Although many people peg the single's success to its music video, Thicke claims "the topless video has around 25 million fewer views than the one with clothes on. The song really took off as soon as it came out on radio. I'd love to give the video the credit but the song's pretty good."

And what more can fans expect on the album? "More stuff like 'Blurred Lines.' It's the most fun album I've done. My music will always be soulful and sexy but this time it's also fun, so people can walk away feeling better about their lives. People need escape."

Many critics claim that his "Blurred Lines" video objectifies women and is a cheap, easy way to get plays, however Thicke disagrees. "People have been painting and sculpting naked women since the beginning of time. We didn't objectify them, we just showed them in their most natural state."

In the wake of his recent success, fans old and new are curious as to what more Blurred Lines has to offer. The album will hit stores July 8 and should prove to be Thicke's most successful album to date.
