Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third game in the Dragon Age series, and its unveiling at E3 was met with a hearty round of applause during EA's E3 press conference. Though the game did not get the amount of time and attention that other titles received during the conference, it easily roused the crowd more than any of the other games presented by the publisher.Inquisition will launch in the fall of 2014 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
The game will feature an open-world setting and charges players with defending the realm from the forces that are tearing it apart. As the game's website declares:
"A cataclysmic event has plunged the land of Thedas into turmoil. Dragons now darken the sky, casting a shadow of terror over a once-peaceful kingdom. Mages have broken into an all-out war against the oppressive Templars. Nations rise against one another. It falls to you to restore order as you lead the Inquisition and hunt down the agents of chaos - your choices will forever change the Dragon Age."
Bioware, the makers of another popular RPG series, Mass Effect, are behind the third installment of this particular franchise. The game promises to put players in control of some tough decisions that affect the whole of the game. Based on the name of this new Dragon Age game, players may have a chance of being a monstrous fanatic that ruthlessly oppressed one group, like the real-life Spanish Inquisition. Previous Dragon Age games have all been about choice, so we should see player's choice change everything from their party members to what skills they can learn.
Dragon Age: Inquisition should be one of the hottest RPG's to come to next-gen consoles, as well as current consoles as well.
