The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has been rumored for a while now, with possible specs coming out for the photography-specializing variant leaking earlier this month and lots of anticipation leading up to Samsung's June 20 event in London. A new development occurred this weekend, when SamMobile received leaked image of the upcoming Galaxy S4 handset for photography, and it looks to be quite a large beast.

The camera lens on the Galaxy S4 Zoom is supposed to have 10x optical zoom, according to previous leaks reported here, and feature a 16-megapixel camera behind the hulking behemoth of a lens. On the side of the camera, there appear to be zoom and shutter buttons.

Along with the image , some additional specs were leaked on the new phone, according to Hexus. It will purportedly feature a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with a still unknown amount of RAM. The screen is rumored to be a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, and the phone should come with 8GB internal storage, with up to 64GB expansion through a microSD slot. It will run Android 4.2.2, if the rumors are correct, with a Touch-Wiz Nature UX Interface.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom looks to be in chief competition with Nokia's still rumored but also-leaked smartphone, dubbed the "Nokia EOS" for lack of a more specific name. When images of the EOS leaked, it was rumored to have a 41-megapixel PureView camera (much like the one on the PureView 808) with Xenon flash and some optical zoom, though it looks like Samsung might have beat out Nokia on that count.

Nokia's handset, however, does appear much slimmer, despite its slight camera-housing bulge in the back, than the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, which seems to have a 35mm thickness, according to recent reports. But we'll have to wait until Samsung's London event June 20 to see if the rumors are true.
