According to the June 9 edition of "Pokémon Smash," via PokéJungle, the June 16 "Pokémon X and Y" Special will feature three topics: a new Pokémon, the battling method, and potentially a new type.
News on the new type could finalize rumors on the latest Eevee evolution, Sylveon.
In regards to the battling, it might have been teased during the first "X and Y" trailer earlier this year when the narrator said, "The more you battle together, the stronger your bond will become."
Meanwhile, a "Pokémon X and Y" showcase with a question and answer session has been reported for E3. Masuda and Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekaz Ishihara will take part of the session on June 11, starting at 6 p.m. PDT.
"Pokémon X and Y" is confirmed for an October launch across Australia, Europe, Japan and North America. Ten new Pokémon have also been confirmed for the sixth-generation's franchise: Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas, Yveltal, Sylveon, Helioptile, Fletchling, Gogoat, and Pancham. The 10 pocket monsters will accompany the new form of the first-generation Pokémon, Mewtwo.
