America just can't get enough vampires. Luckily, the sixth season of "True Blood" is rapidly approaching. As the summer months creep in and overtake our existence with unrelenting heat, it's a blessing to have an opportunity to sit down on your couch with a cool glass of lemonade and be thoroughly entertained by one of HBO's most popular series.
Along with the "True Blood" vampires comes one of America's other obsessions. Sex. Vampires and sex, what a perfect combination. One of the show's biggest stars, Alexander Skarsgard admits that he even enjoys the dropping trou on camera. On June 5, he made an appearance on "Conan" to talk about the upcoming sixth season of "True Blood" and, obviously, got to talking about vampire sex and how he's become so comfortable with showing off his body.
"I think I was 14 the first time I saw my dad wearing pants," Skarsgard said. "When he wasn't at the theater, he was home cooking or chilling... with no clothes on." So what's the first thing that comes to mind?
"It's not that big, so it's fine," he said, telling the audience he was referring to the stove in his kitchen. "It's average, plus."
All nudity and stoves aside, Skarsgard opened up about his character, Eric, in a recent interview with Hollywood Life regarding the new season. "He's doing some evil stuff this year, some stuff that's not so nice," he said. "You'll see this season he's doing some pretty nasty stuff. It's not all good." Between the nudity and the new evil, dark side of Eric making its way to the surface, fans should brace themselves for an interesting season.
"True Blood" will return to HBO on Sunday, June 16. Read the episode 1 synopsis below.
