In the past months, photos and videos from the set of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" have been slowly making their way into the hands of the public. The videos have provided fans a glimpse into the epic sequel, but have steered clear of spoiling any of the Spidey action, until now. The most recent video to scour the Internet features the graduation ceremony of both Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), with a little something extra tacked on the end. Watch the video below, but beware, a potential spoiler appears in form of an ominous foreshadow.

The video features Gwen's graduation speech, where she shares some inspiring words with her fellow students as she looks ahead into the future. "I know we all think we're immortal. And we should feel that way. We're graduating. The future is and should be bright. But like our brief four years in high school, what makes life valuable is that it doesn't last forever."

As MTV points out, this could clearly serve as a foreshadow to Gwen's rumored death that could very well take place in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

In a recent interview, Stone touched upon the possibility of her character's death in the Spidey sequel. "Essentially the argument is that Spider-Man kills her by accident," Stone told SFX Magazine. "So the person she loves is the person who kills her, which is the most horrifying thing. Apparently people unsubscribed to the comic book when that happened because they were just so flipped-out over it. But of course, I want to stay true to that."

Stone doesn't confirm or deny her character's death, but she clearly hints at a morbid ending. Check out the set photos featuring Gwen moments before her potential plunge here.

We'll have to wait and see. Director Marc Webb could very well be faking out fans with the alluding foreshadow, but then again, it's a very pivotal moment in Spider-Man history, so why not play it up?

In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," for Peter Parker, life is busy - between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
