There has been a lot of hype concerning many of the big blockbuster games that are heading to E3, but there are many other games set to appear at the three day event that are sure to drawn attention to themselves in some way. Here are the top 5 under the radar games of E3 2013.
5. Bayonetta 2- This game was announced as an exclusive Wii U title back in September, but so far neither Nintendo nor developer Platinum Games has had much to say about Bayonetta 2. That could change with a strong showing at E3. Many people have already written the game off because it is only appearing on the Wii U, but the stylish action of Bayonetta could be the shot in arm the Wii U has been searching for.
4. DayZ- This game has been in various stages of development for quite some time, but at E3 we will finally see the standalone DayZ for the PC. Featuring a massive world to explore and threats from both human players and zombies, DayZ has become a cult hit that threatens to go mainstream with a successful launch. Could it be the next Minecraft? Bohemia Interactive certainly hopes it could happen.
3. Primal Carnage: Genesis- This PlayStation 4 and PC title hopes to fill the Turok-shaped hole in many gamers hearts. Combining open world exploration with a first-person shooter dinosaur adventure, this game could take off when the next-gen systems come out. The PlayStation 4 is a clean slate, so a new IP like Primal Carnage: Genesis could find success right out of the game with a good E3 showing.
2. DeadPool- For a little while, it seemed as though Deadpool was going to become the next big superhero. However, delays to the planned movie have caused many to forget about what makes Deadpool an intriguing character. The Deadpool game by High Moon Studios could very well change that, especially if the game has positive feedback at E3 before getting released later this month.
1. Dragon Age 3: Inquisition- Though the first two games had their own flaws, no one would say that the first two Dragon Age games were horrible. Now, hopefully Bioware can find the proper mix of story and action and deliver what could potentially be the show stealing performance of E3 2013.
