The "50 Shades of Grey" race carries on. Fan-favorites continue to top fan polls, appear in mock trailers and earn their own dedicated Facebook fan pages. It's clear who the fans want to fulfill the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, but E. L. James and Universal Studios have yet to comment. There's no end in sight. The casting contest could go on forever, or at least that's how it seems. Slowly but surely new candidates creep their way into contention as they catch the attention of "50 Shades" fans, and once there, it can difficult to get out, although one young potential "50 Shades" starlet in particular is now making her exit.
"Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke has been considered for the role of Anastasia Steele since Universal announced its agreement with James to make the film a reality, and rightfully so. Clarke has the bashful, alluring eyes, the innocent features and the perfect body to play the young Ana, however it looks like she's now less willing to show her body to the rest of the world.
Clarke has stripped down a handful of occasions on "Game of Thrones," but she now claims that the nudity is getting in the way of her desired career. Oona Chaplin, who plays the noblewoman Talisa Maegyr on "Game of Thrones," said, "One of the girls in the show who got her kit off the most in the first couple of seasons now doesn't at all because she said, 'I want to be known for my acting not for my breasts.'" Chaplin didn't specify the exact actress, however according to several other reports, Clarke has expressed similar sentiments on several occasions and has since to show her breasts on the show.
If Clarke hopes to steer away from nudity during the blossoming of her career, then "50 Shades of Grey" is not the movie for her. The movie revolves around sex and nudity and may even be released with an NC-17 rating. So there's one less potential Anastasia to worry about. Now onto the remaining dozens. Hopefully James and Universal will choose quickly and spare fans the agony. Yeah right.
