Channing Tatum may be the Sexiest Man alive, but he reveals there is one person he'd love to fill the shoes of.

"I wouldn't mind being the male Jennifer Lawrence," the 33-year-old hunk told Cosmopolitan magazine in a recent interview.

Tatum, who is expecting to be a father soon, has been on a whirlwind of events the past few years. From playing in movies like She's the Man, Coach Carter and Step Up, to breaking box office with G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Magic Mike, Tatum has already made his mark in the industry. However, amidst all his achievements and a "Sexiest Man Alive" trophy, he still thinks being at par with the Hunger Games star is a dream come true.

"I think she's incredibly cool," said the dad-to-be of Lawrence.

Not to worry though, Channing may admire The Silver Linings Playbook star's Oscar trophy, but it is her wife he still goes crazy for. Being married for eight years and still deeply in love with each other, the hunk says communication is the key to making the relationship work.

"You have to want it," he told Cosmopolitan. "Jenna's and my thing is checking in with each other all the time, like "On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you love me right now?" And you gotta be honest, and you've got to want an honest answer."

When asked about his celebrity status and how he keeps himself grounded, Tatum said he has his friends to get him "chopped down to a size all the time."

"It's a hard thing for me to wrap my mind around the C word: celebrity," he explains. "But my friends keep me grounded. It's embarrassing to tell you how much my friends make fun of me...it's ridiculous how creative your friends can get...and they're way, way not PG-13."

The star also revealed that he has a not-so-really weight problem. When the magazine asked him if there was something that will make people think he wasn't sexy, Tatum answered "I'm a fat kid inside."

"I love food so much, and I fluctuate about 25 to 30 pounds between movies. I feel like I have to do a chess movie that requires very little movement at some point, just so I can eat pizza and play chess on the beach all day...That'd be amazing. I'd give anything for that. I gotta figure that movie out."

Channing Tatum is starring in White House Down, a new action film with Jamie Foxx and showing in theaters on June 28.
