Microsoft's Windows Phone released the latest comparison video against Samsung's Galaxy smartphone, this time pitting the Nokia Lumia 521 to the Galaxy S4.
The latest video featuring Ben, who has appeared on previous comparison videos for Windows Phone, compared the price of the new Galaxy S4 smartphone to the "affordable" Lumia 521.
According to Ben, he purchased an off-contract Galaxy S4 for $750 while also having an off-contract Lumia 521. The Windows Phone 8 smartphone, however, only cost Ben $149, a difference of $601.
In the advertisement, Ben visits a Microsoft Store to see what else can be purchased to match up to the Galaxy S4's price.
With the help of the Microsoft Store manager in Century City, the guys pick a $30 gift card for Xbox Music, a 16GB Kingston memory card for $20, and the Purity headphones for $100, which Ben already owns for his Lumia 920. The men continue their shopping spree continues with $450 left to spend. An ASUS laptop was introduced, coincidentally worth $450.
"Your call," concludes Ben, referring to the before-mentioned items he purchased compared to the Galaxy S4's price.
The advertisement is the latest comparison video launched by either Windows Phone or Nokia as it has previously released a number of ads for the Lumia 928 and compared it to the Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5.
The Lumia 521, which is 4G enabled and exclusive for T-Mobile, has a 4-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording. When it comes to memory, the smartphone has 8GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM. A microSD card slot is available for up to 64GB of additional storage. The battery capacity for the Windows Phone 8 smartphone is 1,430mAh.
What do you think about the advertisement? Is it a good idea for Microsoft?
