Verizon customers eager to pick up Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, can already do so, but with one caveat: they can only snag the 16GB model. Those interested a more robust version, however, aren't completely out of luck, as it seems Verizon is currently hammering out the fine print with Samsung to bring the 32GB variant to Big Red's network.
An intrepid reader recently sent in an email correspondence with Verizon's Chief Marketing Officer Tami Erwin to website GottaBeMobile in which the Verizon executive basically confirms the 32GB Verizon Galaxy S4.
"Thanks for your e-mail and the question regarding the S4 w/32GB of built in storage. Verizon plans to offer this option and is currently working w/Samsung to confirm the date in which this model will be available on-line," wrote Erwin.
That's about as straightforward of an answer one can expect from a tech executive, especially given the number of rumors and "industry sources" floating around the technosphere.
Pricing details were not divulged, although a look at AT&T (the only carrier to offer a 32GB Galaxy S4) shows that the 32GB Galaxy S4 should cost around $250 after a two-year contract.
News of a Galaxy S4 model with more internal memory will certainly be welcome news to smartphone buyers, as it was recently revealed that the 16GB Galaxy S4 really only has a paltry 9GB of free space thanks to Samsung's softwares.
