Watch Dogs is one of the key blockbuster titles coming out that will be available both on current and next-gen consoles. Ubisoft's new franchise may very well be the definitive barometer next-gen graphical performance, at least in the first batch of releases. The game features a futuristic open-world setting where the player is able to hack into every computer in the city. In addition to this open world gameplay, Ubisoft has continuously provided clues about its innovative multiplayer offering as well. IGN has a video preview of the game's multiplayer, which looks to shake things up, to say the very least.

While one player is playing the main game, other players can play the game on their mobile device and have the same game experience, only with a top-down view of the game. The mobile version of "Watch Dogs" will give players the same abilities as the console version of the game. Mobile gamers will be able to help their friends hack into the city's systems and complete missions in "Watch Dogs" from anywhere with their iOS or Android version of "Watch Dogs." Players on other consoles will also be able to play alongside mobile users. Players will be able to encounter each other, but that does not mean they have to necessarily help each other, as each player has their own game and objectives to take care of. Multitudes of players will be able to be in one game, meaning that their could be many groups of players competing against each other and attempting to hack each other.

Ubisoft has been trying to create a unique experience with "Watch Dog." In the video interview, Dominic Guay states that they are not trying to create an MMO with huge amounts of players on the map at once, nor are they trying to create a standard shooting game. Instead, Ubisoft is trying something different. "Watch Dogs" will allow players to have synchronized gameplay, even if they are playing in single player mode. While players can play the game offline, by playing online many new features will be available, as well as new challenges for the player.

"Watch Dogs" will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is expected to be released sometime in the fall.
