E3 is fast approaching, and Microsoft and Sony are set to go head to head in the next stage of their ongoing battle for hype. Sony's big press event will take place on Monday, June 10. Here are a few of things you can expect to see.

The PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 was revealed back in February. The event featured the redesigned controller, the hardware specs, and many of the launch titles for the upcoming console. One thing that wasn't present though was the console itself. Given how much they've teased the design since then, it seems almost certain that the unveiling will happen during the E3 Sony press conference.

Gameplay and Reveals

We saw a lot of pretty tech demos during the PS4 reveal, but a few in particular looked so good that many believed they were actually pre-rendered sequences. Expect to see Sony trying to prove those people wrong with live gameplay for titles such as Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, Deep Down, Knack, and more.

Considering the rumors that Microsoft will be bringing the Xbox One's full launch lineup to E3 as well, it would make sense that Sony is showing up prepared with a few surprises of their own.

They've managed to keep any big announcements under wraps so far, but who knows? LittleBigPlanet 3? A new God of War? A PlayStation exclusive DmC? If Sony really wants to get the hype train going, an Uncharted 4 would get the E3 crowd on its feet. Naughty Dog has expressed an interest, so it's certainly a possibility.

PlayStation Eye

A lot of attention is being paid to Microsoft's Kinect 2.0. So much in fact that many seem to have forgotten that the PlayStation 4 will be bundled with a motion sensing peripheral of its own.

The PlayStation Eye will be optional, unlike the Kinect, and will do... something. Aside from that, we really don't know much about it, or why it's so important that it's being included with every PlayStation. Hopefully we'll get some answers during E3.

PSN

With so much emphasis put on Xbox Live during Microsoft's unveiling event, it makes sense that Sony would want to show off their own online service. The images they displayed in February looked like quite a departure from the current PlayStation Network, and one has to imagine there will be a much greater emphasis put on the Share button's functionality.

In addition, many gamers want clarification on how this new console will effect their current PSN account, and whether or not their trophies and game library will transfer over.

Aside from this, Sony will likely continue to discuss their Gaikai cloud based system as well, and give us a little more information on how it will be integrated into future games.

Destiny

Destiny is heading to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in addition to the PS4. However, Sony's press conference will feature the worldwide gameplay reveal of the title.

Destiny will be the first post-Halo project from Bungie, and it's easily one of the most anticipated titles of E3. The game features a hybrid of shooter, RPG, and MMO elements, set in a persistent sci-fi world. It doesn't even have a release date yet, and won't be debuting until 2014 at the earliest, making the gameplay reveal all the more tantalizing.

Sony's press conference is set to take place on June 10, 2013.
