NuvoTV network has recently appointed famous star, Jennifer Lopez as its new Chief Creative Officer.

Last fall, Lopez made an announcement about her creative partnership with the English-language Latino network but her role was further solidified on Wednesday as NuvoTV prepares for the re-launch of its programming this July.

Lopez said in an interview prior to the presentation that two years ago she was approached by NuvoTV to be "probably more as the face of the network but once we sat down and I started expressing my point of view about the programming and the network, it grew into something bigger."

The versatile star also said that she will be greatly involved in the network's marketing, branding and program development through the help of her own production company. She also said that the network reflects the modern Latino experience but must have the quality that everybody has.

The network has also said that a 90-minute biographical special will place Lopez as its subject.

Lopez was also asked if her on-camera presence would go beyond these programs, the actress replied yes and explained - "if we find a great show that I would star in anyway. But I always want to do what's right for the network as opposed to using it as a vehicle for myself. That's not the point."

Moving forward to the July 18 debut of the NUVOtv programming slate, Lopez remarked "We've given it enough of a facelift to launch, but we know we have work ahead of us."

"Gotta Dance," a show that will look into some behind-the scenes lives of professional dancers accompanying Lopez on a world concert tour is one of the new series that will be featured in the network.

Other series to hit the network are Rodney's Joy," a reality show about Grammy Award-winning producer Rodney, "Darkchild" Jerkins as he takes on a new client - his wife, Joy Enriquez - and One On One, an interview show with Mario Lopez.

USA Today also got to chat with Lopez on the possibility of returning to American Idol next season. "I don't know. That's the question of the moment. I loved doing the show. I've said that over and over. If it came down to it and things were right and it worked out right - we have a lot going on right now," Jennifer said. "For an offer to come in and for me to consider it, I would have to sit down and look at my next year."
