Hugh Jackman was revealed on the set of "X-Men Days of Future Past."

Director Bryan Singer uploaded a picture on his Twitter account of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Nicolas Hoult as the Beast. The image came along with the caption "Welcome to 1973." However the reveal has started to make fans worry about the continuity of the series. Questions that have arisen include: Is Wolverine time traveling? How is Beast looking like a normal human again when in the last film saw him have a reaction to his "cure" and become blue and fuzzy? If Wolverine is in the X-Mansion in 1973, does that mean he actually met Professor X long before the events of 2000's "X-Men?"

The new film is set after the events of "X-Men: The Last Stand." It finds mutants Professor X (Sir Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen), Wolverine (Jackman), Rogue (Anna Paquin), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Storm (Halle Berry), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) and Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) on the run in an apocalyptic future where giant robots called Sentinels are used to hunt, capture and kill mutants. In order to try and stop the horrible Sentinels from being created, the mutants work together to send one of their own back in time to 1973, where they run into the younger Professor X and Magneto (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) as well as Beast (Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence).

The film also stars Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, and Adam Canto. It began shooting in April and will continue production throughout the next month.

"X-Men Days of Future Past" was written by Matthew Vaughn, Simon Kinberg and Jane Goldman. It was produced by Vaughn, Kinberg and Singer and will be released by 20th century Fox 2014 . It be seen in 3D and IMAX.
