Daft Punk are back. Fans have long been aware of the duo's return, but now it's finally becoming a reality. Their fourth studio album, their first in eight years, is only a week away, and Daft Punk are properly gearing up. We've seen a slew of small ads promoting the album, the first of which being a 15-second clip that aired during "Saturday Night Live" back in March. We later saw a 90-second clip during Coachella, featuring the their smash single, "Get Lucky," before it had been released. Others featured track lists and collaborators, but none delved deep into the album. The most recent ad shows the robots in their intergalactic vessel as they unveil the first copy of the upcoming record, Random Access Memories.

Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo take fans on a brief, yet epic journey through the cabin of their spaceship as they unseal the confidential package, take out the record, and rest it on their record player. The opening track, "Give Life Back to Music," begins to play. A grandiose intro begins to build towards the initial drop on the long awaited album that's said to revolutionize electronic music. You can feel the album begin to take off, setting sail for something so extravagant that the human mind can't comprehend. And then, it cuts.

In typical Daft Punk fashion, fans are left with nothing more than a sliver. Although excruciating, it feeds the excitement. The longer fans are strung along, the sweeter the nectar will taste. Eight years is a quite a long wait, so it better taste extraordinary. Watch the new promo, featuring the first few seconds of the opening track off Random Access Memories, below, and prepare to want more.

Random Access Memories hits stores May 21 via Daft Life Limited, an imprint of Columbia Records.
