The LG Optimus G Pro is available starting today at AT&T for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
The Optimus G Pro is also available with no contract and without a subsidy for $549.99.
With its 5,5-inch screen, the G Pro is one of the largest phones currently on the American market, and it's a top choice for consumers who don't want to skimp on size or performance.
The only other high-end phone that can compete with the G Pro's real estate is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a 5.55-inch monster that comes with a stylus.
But the G Pro is more recent and hides better tech in its guts; it rivals the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which just hit the market two weeks ago.
Of course, there's more turnover in store. Recent rumors say the LG Optimus G2 is headed to market in the third quarter of this year, along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, both of which should be large, powerful phones, possibly sporting Snapdragon 800 processors, or the next iteration of Samsung's own in-house Exynos line.
While those release dates are just rumors, the phone are not, and whatever the specifics, the G Pro and the Note 2 will be obsolete within the next six months. But for now, the Optimus G Pro is an impressive and eye-catching choice , if you can spare the room in your pocket or purse.
The LG Optimus G Pro features a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch Full-HD 1920x1080 IPS display with 440 ppi, a 13-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video, 32GB of internal storage, an SD card slot for up to 64GB more, a huge 3000 mAh Li-Po battery and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
