Pokémon fans are now reaching a month since the last major "Pokémon X and Y" update, is there any new news in sight?
Sadly, according to Game Freak Inc. and "Pokémon X and Y" Director Junichi Masuda, fans will have to "wait a little longer."
Masuda's comment was seen on a tweet in response to a Twitter user's question on when a new promotional video or information will rollout. The tweets were in Japanese, but courtesy of PokéJungle, the tweet was translated as the following:
Kriffix: "How long until a new promotion video or region information? This lack of news is causing me to dry up! (´Ð'|||) Sorry if I'm being greedy. (U_U) But the only reason I am greedy is because I love Pokémon, so please find it in yourself to forgive me!"
Masuda: "Thanks! Just wait a little longer now!"(*laughs*)
Masuda's tweet comes as the next edition of the Japanese show "Pokémon Smash" might reveal the type of new Eevee evolution and sixth-generation Pokémon Sylveon. As Latinos Post reported, a preview video shows a cast member in Sylveon's attire karate chopping a thick sheet of ice in half and using nun chucks, perhaps alluding the new Pokémon will become a Fighting type.
"Pokémon X and Y" is set to launch in October in Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America. While a specific date has not been provided, it hasn't stopped retailers from accepting pre-orders ahead of time.
