PC owners who feel left out in the cold over the absence of a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 may have a glimmer of hope. Eurogamer reports that the mythical PC copy of the game has been spotted on Amazon Germany and GamesOnly.at. The listing has since been removed for the special edition, but the website has allegedly confirmed the contents of the special edition as fact on a post to GTA-extreme.de, a German-language Grand Theft Auto fansite.

The special edition of the game is said to contain the following: Steelbook box with exclusive artwork, world map, in game stunt plane challenges, online-store concessions, bonus outfits and tattoos, exclusive weapons, and a special abilities booster. While the list has some standard in-game bonuses, it has a noticeable lack of real-world bonuses for collectors, besides a special box and map of the game.

While Rockstar has yet to confirm or comment on a PC version of the game, the Grand Theft Auto series has traditionally appeared on on the platform, along with Sony and Microsoft consoles. Grand Theft Auto 5 has only been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but there is speculation that the game could show up on next-gen consoles at some point, given its late release date near the release of the next-gen systems. Rockstar recently released new character trailers for the game and showed off a playable demo for the game to select people.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be a big seller when it comes out September 17. Rockstar would have to make an announcement soon if the game is coming to PC later this year, so keep on the lookout here for any news.
