New clues have surfaced regarding Sylveon's type ahead of October's release of "Pokémon X and Y."
The Japanese show "Pokémon Smash," which often times features the first details of the franchise such as Mewtwo's new form and many previous pocket monsters from the previous generations, featured a cast member in Sylveon's attire performing tasks alluding to its potential type.
In the preview video, the 'Sylveon' in question is seen karate chopping a thick sheet of ice in half and using nun chucks.
Of all the Eevee evolutions currently out there, none are currently a fighting type. While the video does not directly confirm such information, it could heighten speculation and diminish rumors about "Light" or "Fairy" types.
The latest Sylveon news comes as it was seen in the outro video of the latest Japanese anime, which is currently four months ahead of the U.S. broadcast. The outro did not provide any hints as to Sylveon's type, but the upcoming Pokémon is seen with other Eevee evolutions and the Pokémon all the major characters caught in the last 15 years.
"Pokémon X and Y" is set to launch in October across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America. A specific date has not been provided yet but its hasn't stopped retailers from accepting pre-orders ahead of time.
