Fans of Insomniac's upcoming game Fuse are in luck, as the developer will launch a demo on May 7, according to EA Games. Look out for the content on both on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

The demo supports the game's highly touted multiplayer, with two people able to play the game in local co-op and four players online. Players must stop Raven, a shady paramilitary organization, from using an alien energy source called Fuse to take over the world. Players take the role of up to four operatives trying to prevent this takeover.

The game is being developed by Insomniac, best known for their work with the Ratchet and Clank series, as well as Spyro the Dragon and the Resistance series. Interestingly enough, it is the first game made by the studio for the Xbox 360. Notably, Insomniac's most famous series have been exclusive to the PlayStation 3 (except for Spyro, which the company made in the original PlayStation days and has since gone multiplatform). The game was first announced back in 2011 at E3 as Overstrike, but has since been retitled to reflect the game's emphasis on the alien Fuse substance.

Fuse will become available on May 28, so those looking to check the game out before purchase have the perfect opportunity in this demo, out just a few weeks before the game's release. The game will have no online pass or microtransactions, so the developer has been encouraging people to buy the game new.

Insomniac has a stellar reputation, and Fuse should carry that legacy over. With frantic gunfights and four player co-op, it promises to deliver a unique experience that should thrill fans of both Ratchet and Clank and Gears of War series.
