As Borderlands 2 vault hunters may already know, Gearbox Software has promised to release all of its Season Pass content by June, which includes a fourth DLC add-on pack. Now, a glimpse of the expansion has been inadvertently leaked by Gearbox themselves, reporetedly titled Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep.
The leak comes from the Twitter account of Gearbox's lead writer Anthony Burch. In a Tweet that has since been deleted (though it can be seen on Stealthy Box), Burch took a photo of a fellow employee sleeping on a couch. But in the background promotional material for the new DLC can be seen.
The theme of the Borderlands 2 DLC was hinted at earlier at PAX East this past March, as Gearbox showed a teaser trailer showing Tiny Tina playing a game called Bunkers & Badasses, which resembles Dungeons & Dragons. While this leak does confirm the direction the developer is going for the DLC, it is not clear exactly what will be the story of the add-on.
In any case, Gearbox has hinted that they may add more DLC content to the game after all the Season Pass content is delivered, so this may not be the last bit of DLC for the game. In addition to Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep, a new playable character, Krieg, a psycho -style character, will be made available soon as a separate DLC pack from the Season Pass content. The newest piece of DLC for the game raised the level cap and added a new difficulty and rarity level to the game's loot.
Gearbox has responded to the snafu with an official announcement of a June 25 release date and 800 Microsoft Point price, reports IGN.Â
