We've reached the halfway point of the third season of "Game of Thrones." So far, what promised to be the most groundbreaking, pivotal season of the series has been a minor disappointment. It's good to see our favorite characters as they plot their way through the treacherous "game," but we have yet to get the heavy dose of carnage and high-flying dragons that the third season promised. We know it's coming, but when? We can feel that dragon's fire breathing down our necks. The season is already halfway through. There's not much time left. We want blood. Now.
Next week's episode, "The Climb," will bring us back beyond The Wall to catch up with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) as he embarks on a treacherous, life-threatening climb. Ygritte (Rose Leslie) and the Wildings are right by his side as they take on the intimidating climb together. This could be the perfect opportunity to for a frightened Jon to prove himself to his new comrades.
Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) have dinner with Lord Bolton. Jaime tries to convince Lord Bolton that his father, Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance), will reward him handsomely if he's returned alive and well. Bolton has his doubts however, and as Jaime reaches for a knife to take matters into his own hands, Brienne discretely restrains him.
Meanwhile, Robb Stark (Richard Madden) realizes that without the Karstarks' support, his mission north will fail. He then turns to the Freys, however his hopes are quickly squandered. Robb had previously planned to marry the Frey daughter, but left her after he fell in love with a field medic. He meets with his mother and uncle to tell them he will do whatever it takes to please the Freys, but is then informed that it's not what, but who.
