After playing through BioShock Infinite, many gamers wondered what exactly that Season Pass would entail. After all, Infinite certainly didn't seem like a game where something as cheap as new costumes or a bonus gun would cut it.
Considering a lot of people have already thrown in their $20 for the still unannounced DLC packs, it would make sense that Irrational is preparing to drop some details soon. However, our first bit of info on what we might be getting is based on a bit of speculation.
Twitter tipster superannuation revealed that a LinkedIn resume of a senior animator at 2K Games lists some work done on "BioShock Infinite DLC1." The resume states his work includes "providing animation and R&D for a new AI companion character."
If true, that's certainly a lot more substantial than a few new Vigors! While it's far from confirmation, it's sure to renew gamers' interest in BioShock's DLC. After all, this is the very first we've heard of the possibility that add-ons to the game might feature characters outside of Booker and Elizabeth.
The BioShock Infinite Season Pass was announced shortly before the game's launch, and gives players access to the first three pieces of future DLC for the game. No release date, description, or standard price point has been revealed so far.
The game itself hit stores on March 26 to near universal acclaim. It hit number one on the US charts as the top selling console game in March 2013, moving over 878,000 units. This figure doesn't even count digital sales of the game, such as copies sold through Steam, where the game topped the sales charts in its first week of release. After three weeks on the market, Infinite became the first 2013 game to stay atop the UK charts for three consecutive weeks.
