Spider-Man has arrived in downtown Manhattan, and we've got the photos to prove it. As production on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is well underway, set photos are beginning to role in. We've seen photos of Jaime Foxx as the weak Max Dillon as well as his character's villainous alter ego, Electro. We've seen Dane DeHaan as Spidey's best friend, Harry Osborn. Earlier this week, director Marc Webb offered fans a glimpse of what the new Spider-Man costume looked like, and now we're getting an even better look. Check out the newest photos below.

In other Spidey news, Webb recently revealed his "patient zero" from the upcoming film. Webb decided to cut the history of Peter Parker's genetic modification from the first installment, but it looks like he's giving it another shot this time around. He posted the news on his Twitter page, revealing Oscorp's "Patient Zero." It appears as though Oscorp is doing some Spider-esque experiments themselves. Could this serve as a precursor to a follow-up film featuring Venom, the evil counterpart of Spider-Man? Check out the tweet below along with the new set photos.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hits theaters May 2, 2014. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Colm Feore, and Chris Cooper.

Here's the official synopsis: In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds life is busy - between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The sequel hits theaters on May 2, 2014.
