We still haven't gotten an answer from E. L. James and Universal Studios. Despite fan-made trailers, countless polls and Twitter frenzy, we still have no official news on the "50 Shades of Grey" movie cast. Certain names continue to generate buzz for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, including Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Alexis Bledel and Nina Dobrev, but still, no official word has surfaced.

Possibly the most talked about contender for Mr. Grey has been "Vampire Diaries'" Ian Somerhalder. He's expressed interest in the role, the fans love him and he's been featured in several fan-made trailers. He's perfect. He's got the look, the clout and the eyes, and now he's even got the meme.

The recent Internet meme features Somerhalder looking his best along with some of the raunchiest quotes from "50 Shades." The memes are featured on the various Facebook fan pages that cater to Somerhalder. Along with the memes, the page includes love confessions and appraisal from adoring fans. Some memes are more basic, while others get creative. One even puts a humorous spin on Carly Rae Jepsen's smash hit "Call Me Maybe." Check out all the Somerhalder memes here.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Somerhalder revealed that he locked eyes with a "50 Shades" customer in a bookstore checkout line, and apparently they "totally had a moment."

"You could see her blushing for a second. She saw that I saw the book, and I just smiled at her and said, 'It's a good read, huh?' And she goes, 'this is so embarrassing." What would Dobrev have to say about his "moment" with the bookshop customer? You better watch your step Somerhalder.

As we know too well, all "50 Shades" speculation is fan-generated. There has been no word from the Hollywood hot shots. Perhaps fans created the Somerhalder memes to ease the pain and frustration. Whatever it is, it's working. They're humorous and they're earning Somerhalder even more "50 Shades" attention.
