Samsung could be announcing its next series of the Galaxy Tab in the coming days, according to media reports.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 8.0 is expected to have its 3G versions for sale as early as May while the 4G LTE variants will hit shelves in June or July. The information is from TechBlog, which Ubergizmo has provided a translation for.

According to TechBlog, Samsung could make an announcement regarding the third generation of the Galaxy Tab as soon as this week.

Features for the tablets have allegedly already leaked.

Starting with the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, the tablet will use the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE capabilities, 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1,280x800 pixels, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 7,000mAh battery capacity.

According to TechBlog, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will also use the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE, 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1,280x800 pixels, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 4,500mAh battery capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 3 has passed its DLNA Test certification. With an issued date of Feb. 2, 2013, the product name "GT-P3200" is Wi-Fi certified and is classed as a "Mobile Mobile Digital Media Player, Mobile Digital Media Server, Mobile Digital Media Controller."

The timing of the device comes as the Galaxy S4 is set to make its launch this month.
