Ann Curry's fans are voicing out their dissatisfaction with NBC's recent decision to replace the "Today" show anchor with Savannah Guthrie.

An online poll conducted by the Latinos Post shows that 83 percent of the voters believe NBC made a mistake for replacing Ann Curry as the show's co-host.

Out of the more than 2,000 votes, 1,692 people believe ousting Curry was a mistake against 272 people (13 percent) who believe NBC did the right thing. Approximately 3 percent had other opinions.

When reviewing various reader comments, the Latinos Post found that several people believe the program suffered a slump in ratings not because of Curry's performance, but because of the show's choice of content.

Some of the comments posted describe how various people considered Ann Curry as the show's heart and soul.

"Ann brought out the heart and soul of the Today morning show with her caring soft voice and her upbeat attitude. It was a joy watching her every day. This is a sad day," read one posting.

"Ann was always the best interviewer - not afraid to ask the right questions and push for complete answers. Whatever is ailing the Today Show it certainly wasn't Anne. This morning was the first day in over 30 years I woke up to Good Morning America. If NBC thinks firing Anne will improve their ratings I can guarantee they are wrong about at least this former viewer," read another post.

Curry's replacement seems to have prompted more criticism than praise according to the comments and time will tell if NBC got it right.

According to the New York Times, "Today" show executive Jim Bell favored Guthrie as Curry's replacement.

Curry on her hand will now move on to become NBC's anchor-at-large and a national, international correspondent.

The article reflects poll results as of Saturday 2 p.m. EST.
