Injustice: Gods Among Us is available now, however, those wishing to buy the game on the Wii U in the UK will have to wait an extra week in order to get the game. The game has been delayed until April 26 in the United Kingdom, a full week later than it was originally supposed to be released, according to CVG. This delay did not affect the game's release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or Wii U in the United States. NetherRealm Studios did not have a reason for this delay, or why it only affects the UK.
Caution: Spoilers Below
The premise of the game is that Superman, enraged after a plot which causes him to accidentally kill Lois Lane and their unborn child, starts a new world order, which Batman and his allies fight against. The game will pit heroes and villains in one-on-one battles, and will feature an in-depth storyline and the chance to make DC Comic's most popular characters fight it out. A prequel comic has been put out by DC, allowing gamers a chance to really get involved with the storyline even further.
The game has launch with several preorder bonuses, which will be available for download as well. The Red Son pack comes with alternative skins and missions based on the Superman: Red Son graphic novel. Blackest Night pack allows for a unique Batman costume based on the Blackest Night storyline, in addition to a Zombie Mode, which turns all the characters into zombified versions of themselves. The Arkham City pack allows for alternative costumes for Batman, Catwoman, and The Joker, based on their appearances in 2011's hit game Batman: Arkham City.
A season pass is available, offering three new skins for existing characters based on their Flashpoint costumes, as well as offering discounts on the four downloadable characters that will become available, all for $15.
