Tim Tebow showed up for voluntary offseason workouts with the New York Jets this morning, beating out head coach Rex Ryan and fellow quarterback Mark Sanchez by more than an hour.
Tebow said that even though his fate with the Jets, and the NFL for that matter, remains unknown, he plans to approach the situation with positivity.
"It's nothing I can control, and like I've said ever since I was at Nease High School, I really try not to worry about what I can't control," Tebow said.
"Just try to have the best attitude, have the best effort, a great work ethic, and so far this offseason has been a lot of fun. Been my best yet."
And it seems as though he is sticking to the plan as he arrived for the workouts bright and early between 6 and 6:30 a.m. this morning.
Sanchez on the other hand, who is due for a hefty workouts bonus, waltzed in around 7:45 a.m., according to the Star Ledger.
But aside from all of the workout buzz, there are still big questions left unanswered as far as Gang Green's depth chart goes.
With Sanchez, David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms all clustered in the quarterback slot, Tebow's chance for survival seems futile.
And whether Sanchez will get the starting job this upcoming season still remains to be seen.
But another player that is receiving a lot of attention on the Jets is cornerback Darrelle Revis---the centerpiece of NFL trade rumor buzz as of late, mostly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Revis is also expected to attend workouts today after his doctor's appointment at 8 a.m.
