The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available from AT&T on Apr. 26, according to a leaked document from Staples.

No word on which Staples employee smuggled the doc out into the wild, but it's best to assume all the information is specious for now. The document itself even warns that the release date is tentative. But the release date listed for T-Mobile matches up with what that carrier announced on its own several weeks ago.

It looks like an official missive from Staples corporate, walking employees through the process of taking Galaxy S4 reservations, which begin on Tuesday. The S4 should be in stock on Apr. 26, according to the document, but there's no guarantee devices will be available.

It's good PR for customers to hear that local stores have run out of their new smartphone, since they'll be more likely to run out and by one wherever they can before the supply dries up, manufacturers don't actually want a widespread or long-term supply shortage. They'd rather sell than build hype.

Samsung is shipping 10 million Galaxy S4 units in the first month, so there should actually be plenty of stock. The company went as far as using its extra supply of Snapdragon 600 processors in most of those units to make sure it had enough on hand. Mass production of the Exynos 5 Octa chip has probably already begun, so more of the next wave of S4s might feature that high-end processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (depending on country), 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD AMOLED display at 441 ppi, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, internal storage between 16 and 64GB, an SD card slot that can accommodate an additional 64GB, a polycarbonate body, Smart Pause and floating touch tech and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
