MTV has announced that host Rebel Wilson will perform at the beginning of the awards ceremony.

The Australian actress is set to start the ceremony by singing solo. They also revealed that Wilson and her co-stars from "Pitch Perfect" rehearsed a multi-genre opening medley Friday that features Wilson spoofing last year's films and spinning nunchucks.

Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Skylar Astin, along with a troupe of gymnastic dancers, joined Wilson in four songs not featured in the film. MTV also stated that they will keep the four titles a surprise until Sunday's ceremony.

When the group finished rehearsing, Wilson shouted "'Pitch Perfect' two!" However, a sequel to the musical comedy has not been announced by Sony Pictures.

The ceremony will hand out 13 awards including Best Film of the Year. Among the nominees for this category are "The Avengers," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Django Unchained," "Silver Linings Playbook," and "Ted."

The nominees include Bradley Cooper ("Silver Linings Playbook"), Ben Affleck ("Argo"), Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln"), Channing Tatum ("Magic Mike"), Jennifer Lawrence ("Silver Linings Playbook"), Anne Hathaway ("Les Miserables"), Emma Watson ("The Perks of Being a Wallflower"), Denzel Washington ("Flight"), Javier Bardem ("Skyfall"), Daniel Craig ("Skyfall"), Christian Bale ("The Dark Knight Rises"), Leonardo Dicaprio ("Django Unchained"), Jessica Chastain ("Zero Dark Thirty"), Samuel L. Jackson ("Django Unchained"), Robert Downey Jr. ("The Avengers"), Will Ferrell ("The Campaign") and Mark Ruffalo ("The Avengers").
