Nick Lachey warned modern day boy bands to stay away from Taylor Swift.

The former 98 degrees singer joked on an MTV interview about Swift. He stated, "Stay away from Taylor Swift! She'll write a song about you ... Oh! I'm too late on that one. I didn't get to [that advice] fast enough. [The song will] be a hit, but it will be about you."

When asked what other advice he would give new boy bands such as "One direction," he added "They're making money. They don't need our advice."

Lachey also had the opportunity of speaking about his personal life with Vanessa Minnillo and revealed he would never do another realty show again. He also told MTV he was thankful he was most famous when there were no camera telephones and Twitter did not exist. "I'm very thankful we didn't have any of the Twitter and camera phones and all that stuff when we were going through it the first time cause that's a whole 'nother element that we didn't have to deal with. A lot of respect for these guys who have to deal with that as young people, that's really tough."

Lachey's comments on Swift were referring to her recent hit singles in which she ranted on men. The hits were written about her breakups although the country star has consistently declined to reveal who the songs are about. Swift has had high profile relationships with Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas and One Direction band member Harry Styles.

Lachey is currently gearing up to reunite with his group and go on tour with "Boyz To Men" and "New Kids On the Block." He recently had his first son Camden with Minnillo.
