When it comes to setting the record straight, most public figures would hold a press conference with their team to dispel any misconceptions. Jay-Z is not one of those people. In pure rapper form, Jay-Z recently took to the studio to record Open Letter. In the freestyle track, Jay comes to the microphone to address opposing politicians who have an issue with where he decides to vacation. The song also discusses Jay's plans to sell his shares in the Brooklyn Nets.

"Politicians never did sh*! For me/ except lie to me and distort history/ Wanna give me jail time and a fine/fine, let me commit a real crime."

Hip hop power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé have made headlines for their trip last week to Cuba in celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary. Needless to say, this getaway flustered quite a few officials. "If the tourist activities undertaken by Beyoncé and Jay-Z in Cuba are classified as an educational exchange trip, then it is clear that the Obama Administration is not serious about denying the Castro regime an economic lifeline that US tourism will extend to it," notes Florida Republican representative, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Currently, United States law prohibits any American from traveling to Cuba unless under a "people-to-people," religious or general license. Pure visits for the sake of tourism are not allowed. According to the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Control, the Carters were a part of an approved educational exchange trip.

The Carters continue to receive scrutiny for their trip as they have close ties with President Obama. It's no secret that Beyoncé participated in his second term inauguration and previous White House events in the past. Jay-Z has also performed during Obama campaign functions which may make some people question if the president showed the couple favoritism.

Jay-Z's response?"Obama said chill you gonna get me impeached/ I don't need this sh*! Anyway, chill with me on the beach."
