Don't want to wait until Friday to get your WWE Friday Night Smackdown fix? Welcome to the latest spoilers for Smackdown's April 12 episode, which was taped Tuesday at the TD Garden in Boston.

According to Wrestling News World, the show kicked off with the new World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, who made his way down to the ring with AJ Lee to cut his first segment as the champion since cashing in on an injured Alberto Del Rio Monday on Raw following WrestleMania 29. He was cut off, however, by Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter, who demanded that Swagger get a shot at the title. Del Rio came out next, limping to sell his injured leg, and demanded a rematch for the title. That led to Chris Jericho coming out and announcing that he would be facing Ziggler in his first title defense that night for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No defeated The Prime Time Players thanks to Daniel Bryan's "No" Lock submission. However, their celebration was cut short by The Shield, fresh off their WrestleMania six-man tag win over Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show. The trio warned Team Hell No that they wouldn't back down next time as they did on Monday, when Kane and Bryan made the save for The Undertaker.

Sheamus and Orton also met with Smackdown General Manager Booker T and Teddy Long. Booker announced that Orton and Sheamus would be meeting Big Show in a handicap match later in the night.

Tamina and the Bella Twins defeated WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn and The Funkadactyls.

Triple H came down to the ring to talk about his victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29, only to be interrupted by 3MB. However, the Shield came out and beat down 3MB and looked to do the same to Triple H when Team Hell No again made the save, helping Triple H clear the ring of 3MB as well. This looks like a likely set up for a tag team title match at the May Extreme Rules Pay Per View.

Backstage, The Big Show was seen arguing with Booker T over the match with Orton and Sheamus.

Sheamus and Orton defeated The Big Show by count out after Show left the ring following an RKO and Brogue Kick.

Kofi Kingston defeated U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match.

Fandango, who became the star of WWE Raw Monday when the crowd sung his theme song, came out for the main event.

World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Jericho to retain the title, thanks to a distraction from Fandango that allowed Big E Langston to attack Jericho and Ziggler rolled him up for the win. Jericho attacked both Ziggler and Langston after the match, but another distraction allowed Ziggler to nail a Zig Zag on Jericho, followed up by The Big Ending from Langston and Fandango hitting his top rope leg drop on Jericho to end the show with Fandango standing over his fallen adversary.

In other news, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson suffered injuries to his right hamstring and abdomen during his WrestleMania WWE title bout with John Cena. PWInsider.com reported that while it was speculated that he would not need surgery, it would likely delay the shooting of his new Hercules movie.  The news further legitimizes the speculation of Johnson's injuries being legitimate.

CM Punk, who has been speculated to be taking time off following his WrestleMania 29 match with the Undertaker--a match being hailed by many fans as the best match of the night on that card--was reportedly backstage on Raw, but kept off the air by backstage officials. According to Wrestling Inc.com, the reasons were both to sell Undertaker's win and because they didn't want the popular Punk, who is a heel character, to receive loud cheers from the post-WrestleMania crowd who attended Raw. Punk was scheduled originally to cut a promo, but that was obviously cancelled.
