We already know that the United States and most of Europe will be getting a version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a trustworthy and reliable Snapdragon 600 processor. But new benchmarks definitively show the Exynos 5 variant of the flagship smartphone is the fastest mobile device on the planet.

"We received the latest benchmark tests of the Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 (Exynos 5 Octa variant) with Samsung's latest test firmware installed and the results are highly impressive," SamMobile writes. "Our insider's Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) scored a whooping 28018 points on Antutu. The Snapdragon equipped Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) scored 23607 points, as benchmarked by the folks at GSMArena."

It looks like there are actually three versions of the Galaxy S4 being made. The GT-I9500 has a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, and will be available in India, Africa, much of Asia and some parts of Europe.

The GT-I9505 has the 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 as will be available pretty much everywhere else.

Samsung is also offering the SHV-E300S, a 1.8GHz variant of the Exynos 5 only in their home country of South Korea. SamMobile expects that version to top 30000 an the AnTuTu benchmark, but no one's actually gotten their hands on the beast to test it yet.

Mass production of the Exynos 5 doesn't begin until sometime in the second quarter, so Samsung is using its ample supply of Snapdragons to prevent supply shortages. Of the first 10 million Galaxy S4s, 70 percent will run the Snapdragon. If you can wait until those are exhausted, the next batch should all be running the Exynos 5.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (depending on country), 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD AMOLED display at 441 ppi, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, internal storage between 16 and 64GB, an SD card slot that can accommodate an additional 64GB, a polycarbonate body, Smart Pause and floating touch tech and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
