The last round of iPads are hovering at an infantile half-a-year old, but the rumor mill is already churning profusely about the next iterations. Adding fat to the fire is an alleged photo of the iPad 5's front bezel, which seems to confirm the redesign that many have been speculating about.
The redesign isn't by any means going to turn heads, but it's been said by both analysts and bloggers alike that Apple is going to utilize a form factor more akin to the iPad mini for the next 9.7-inch iPad. As you can see above, this is demonstrated by the narrower bezel photos that the folks over at Nowhereelse.fr have gotten their hands on.
Of course, this leaked bezel has not been confirmed by Apple so treat the photo with all the skepticism in your bones. It shouldn't be too long until official details about the next iPad come out, as Apple is rumored to begin production of the iPad 5 sometime in July or August (or even earlier in April - it all depends on which analyst or rumor you'd like to sink your teeth into).
Not much else is known about the next iPad, other than it should come with the standard hardware upgrade and will probably keep the same price point in an increasingly crowded tablet market. Apple has also reportedly cut Samsung out of its supply chain amidst growing legal tensions between the two tech behemoths.
What do you think of an iPad with a narrower, more iPad mini-esque bezel? A clean redesign, or should Apple do something more drastic?
