New rumors say the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will feature the new S Orb 360-degree panorama camera technology.
"We managed to get in touch with the software engineer that tipped us for the initial report and he confirmed for us that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be the company's first terminal to come with S Orb out of the box," AndroidGeeks writes. "The S Orb is Samsung's name for the Photo Sphere feature that was introduced in October, synchronized with the debut of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Photo Sphere, which is currently available on the Nexus family of devices, allows the users to take 360 degree panorama photos by snapping pictures in every direction, merge them into a Street View-like capture, then post them to Google Plus."
The version of S Orb that will debut on the Galaxy Note 3 will also integrate with Facebook, says AndroidGeeks' source.
Of course, S Orb was rumored to be a feature on the Galaxy S4 before its specs were announced, but the tech wasn't finished in time. We'll see if that ends up being the case with the Note 3. If S Orb does debut on the Note 3, expect it to makes its way down the line of earlier phones, likely showing up eventually on the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2.
The Galaxy Note 3 is still a long way off and won't be released until later this year. But rumors indicate it will have a 5.9-inch screen with an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, a bigger battery and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. An unconfirmed source says the Note 3 will debut in Berlin in September.
