Italy is now selling Nokia's latest smartphone, the Lumia 720.
The Lumia 720 is available for purchase at the official Nokia store, NStore.it, which is selling the Windows Phone 8 smartphone for €349.90. According to WMPowerUser, the price is "relatively reasonable" for Nokia's slimmest smartphone ever.
The Italian price tag for the Lumia 720, when converted to the U.S. dollar, equates to $449.48.
Nokia fans, however, are mixed in terms of the price.
"This phone needs to be priced below 300 euros throughout Europe if it sits between the 820 and the 620," wrote Andrew Bush on WMPowerUser. "There should be a bigger price gap between the 820 and 720 than between the 720 and 620 because the 820 is 4G. The 620 can easily be bought PAYG for £150 (currently just £130) from O2 in the UK, so buyers here will want to see the 720 hovering between £250-220."
Nokia Fan wrote, "The price is just stupid!
 This phone should be a high price pay as you go or free on contract. If this phone was around £250 then I would be tempted but at it's current price I won't be making any purchases.
 Also Windows Phone 8 is being dropped soon to make way for WP9 so why should I pay such a high premium for something with limited warranty???"
On color availability, while Nokia offers the Lumia 720 in red, yellow, and white color variants, only the yellow model was offered on the Italian website (at the time of reporting).
The availability of the Lumia 720 comes as the smartphone arrived in Australia this week.

"Smartphones like the Lumia 720 are critical to Nokia's strategy as they allow us to bring familiar features such as high-end design, quality hardware, unparalleled imaging capabilities and a rich navigation experience to a wider audience."
The new Nokia smartphone will hit retailers with a recommended retail price of AUD$429. When converted to the U.S. dollar, the Lumia 720's price is approximately $449.
The Lumia 720's specs include a 4.3-inch screen size with a pixel resolution of 800x400 and IPS ClearBlack display, 8GB for internal storage with 512MB of RAM, rear-facing camera with 6.7 megapixels at 2,848x2,144 pixels, a 2,000mAh battery, and NFC.
