The 32GB version of the HTC One will be available for pre-order from AT&T starting Apr. 5 for $249.99, says Engadget.

The HTC One comes in version with 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, The 16GB version has been popping up for $199.99 on different carriers with a two-year contract, so the $250 price fits into that pricing structure.

I recently reported that the 64GB version of the One will be an AT&T exclusive for U.S. customers, and it looks like that will run $299.99 when it actually hits the market.

Of course, just because the phone can be pre-ordered doesn't mean it will actually be available. HTC has been battling component shortages for the new UltraPixel camera in the HTC One, amid rumors that suppliers are not prioritizing the company.

Inside sources say HTC is no longer considered a "tier-one" customer after its unreliable order history during last year's sales slump.

Recent rumors say the part shortage could last until the end of April, which would place the HTC One in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy S4, a matchup HTC was hoping to avoid as it seeks to rebuild its embattled smartphone business. Last year, HTC had less than 5 percent of a market dominated by Apple and Samsung.

While the HTC One has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, few customers have been able to get their hands on one, even though anticipation is high.

The HTC One features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1920x1080 pixel widescreen Super LCD 3 display, a 2300 mAh Li-Po battery, a 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera with enhanced low-light sensitivity with 1080p HD video, up to 64GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.1.2.
