What started off as the perfect day in paradise almost ended in disaster for supermodel Heidi Klum over the holiday weekend.

The 39-year-old "Project Runway" judge and mother of four saved her oldest son's life after he was swept away in a wave on a Hawaiian beach.  The German-born beauty was on vacation on the Hawaiian island of Oahu with her children, boyfriend Martin Kristen and two nannies for the Easter holiday.  However, she and Kristen noticed that her seven-year-old son Henry and the nannies were drowning in a riptide.  That's when the "America's Got Talent" judge immediately jumped in the water after them and was spotted helping her son and a nanny safely get back to the shore.  Kristen also jumped in the water to save them. She released a statement about the incident saying, "We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water," she told the mag in a statement, adding that Henry was able to swim back to land, and all got out of the water safely.

Entertainment Tonight obtained photos of the incident showing Klum and her boyfriend springing into action and pulling the group out of the water.

After almost seven years of marriage, the model announced her separation from singer Seal in January 2012 and divorced that April.  She later confirmed that she and Kristen had been dating since September.
