After Nokia rolled out an update for the Lumia 920, owners of the Windows Phone 8 smartphone are reporting difficulties.

As detailed on Reddit, Lumia 920 owners are experiencing problems connecting with AT&T's network.

"My L920 has been having a difficult time connecting to AT&T since the firmware update," posted clyderd. "It was going in and out, it shows the bars but I am unable to send or receive texts or anything else without being on WiFi. Anyone else had this happen to them?"

As time went on, more owners of the Lumia 920 shared their confusion.

"Same thing here," wrote jlipenta. "All day it's showing no reception then back to LTE. My L920 was even on the Edge network for a while. This can't be normal."

"Ever since the update my LTE keeps dropping to no service and back in areas where I used to have excellent service. And then today my phone froze for the first time. This 1308 update is awful. I wish I could revert back," xpxp2002 wrote.

The problems come as Nokia released a firmware update for AT&T customers in the U.S. The update, known as "SW 1232.5957.1308.0001," includes an enhancement to proximity sensor parameters, improved automatic display brightness adjustment, and performance improvements. The specifics for the "performance improvements" were not outlined.

Nokia has so far not issued a comment on the matter.

The Lumia 920 smartphone has a screen size of 4.5 inches, 32GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, an NFC chip, 2,000mAh battery capacity, and is available in black, gray, red, yellow and white color variants.
