British mobile carrier Three UK has issued their Android Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S2 device owners.

The update, confirmed through the carrier's Twitter account, comes after fellow U.K. carriers began to rollout their Android updates for the Galaxy S2.

Three UK does recommend Galaxy S2 to have their smartphones fully charged before updating to Android version 4.1. In addition, users are asked to back up their personal data, such as contacts.

It doesn't seem like the update is available OTA at the moment, but it should be over the coming days. Users can, however, now obtain the update through their Samsung's Kies application.

Galaxy S2 owners can visit this Samsung site to download Kies. After the application is downloaded to the computer, Three UK lists the next steps:

1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable and open Samsung Kies.

2. When Samsung Kies recognises your phone, it'll automatically check for an update. Select Update.

3. You'll be asked if you'd like to back up your content. Select the content you'd like to back up then select Next.

4. You'll see a caution regarding the update. Tick the box and select Start upgrade.

5. Your computer will now download the software upgrade and install it on your phone.

6. Once the upgrade is completed, Samsung Kies will restore your backed up content to your phone. Select OK.

7. Your phone will show 'Android is upgrading...' and may take a few more minutes to update.

With the seven steps, the Galaxy S2 should have the Android 4.1 update.

The update for the Galaxy S2 is the first under the Jelly Bean brand.

Let us know if you picked up the update and what you think of it, or if you snagged it off OTA and where your location is.
