After eight excruciating years, Daft Punk is finally returning with a brand new studio album. In anticipation, the electronic synthpop duo has slowly released certain details that give fans a glimpse of what to expect on the upcoming album.

The group announced on Saturday that the album, titled Random Access Memories, will hit stores May 21 via Daft Life Limited of Columbia Records. Earlier this month, Daft Punk also told fans that the album would feature 13 tracks, the durations of which have also been posted. A brand new 15-second ad also aired on Saturday Night Live, giving fans a small taste of what they'll hear and what they'll see.

The end of the trailer features the same design that will grace to cover of Random Access Memories. It shows the two faces of Daft Punk's stage personas as digital robots and provides an epic, dominant aura that will further excite fans as the duo's triumphant return approaches.

Aside from the all the good news, fans are dismayed to learn that the group stated it will not tour in 2013. Despite the tragedy, you should never say never. Keep your fingers crossed

May is still a couple months away, but Random Access Memories will arrive just in time for the warm months and lay the foundation of this summer's soundtrack. Things couldn't be better.
