Superior Spider-Man has been a very controversial comic series to say the least. After a bizarre start that included the death of Peter Parker and none other than Doc Ock taking control of his body, things continued to get progressively weirder.
Now, Marvel has announced that cyborg anti-hero Cardiac will be making an appearance in the series. Cardiac first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #344 in 1991, and has since had a few interesting story arcs, undertaking a series of vigilante raids.
If you're not a big fan of the character, you might be more excited to know that the issue will also revolve around a battle between Doc Ock's Spider-Man and the Avengers.
Here's the official description from Marvel:
Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Superior Spider-Man #8 from the chart-topping creative team behind Amazing Spider-Man #700, writer Dan Slott and artist Humberto Ramos. This might just be the beginning of the end for Doc Ock-or is it? With Peter Parker fighting full-force to regain control over his own body, will he be able to save Cardiac and redeem himself in the eyes of the Avengers?
