Meryl Streep's new film "August: Osage County" recently received a test screening on March 18th and scored a good reaction prompting Oscar buzz.
Many critics and audience members reacted on Twitter and other Social networks stating that Streep as well as her co-star Julia Roberts could obtain Oscar nominations with Streep potentially winning her fourth Academy Award.
A reader on facebook named Daniel stated "I got to see the first public screening of "August: Osage County" the movie. Meryl Streep is everything. Julia is everything. Go see it....in seven months."
Twitter user @Candzbee stated "Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts are unbelievably brilliant in August Osage county. Oscars for everyone! Tracy Letts has done it again!"

However some viewers were not as ecstatic but still recognized Streep's work. Sweet Indian stated "August: Osage County. it's the ELAIC, Lovely Bones, & Nine of the year. Tries way too hard... maybe like an acting nom for Streep. THAT'S IT"

The film is currently a favorite among pundits do to its distributor Harvey Weinstein who has programmed it for November in the midst of awards season. Weinstein is known for his Oscar campaigning and recently stated at Sundance "It was amazing, we invested in the play, which means getting movie rights. It stars Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, is produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov." The films buzz has also built because Clooney and Helsov just won Oscars for "Argo" and many believe the producing duo could repeat this upcoming year.
Streep was last seen in the Golden Globe nomine "Hope Springs." The actress broke Oscar records two years ago when she scored her 18th Oscar nomination and won her third for her turn as Maragaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady."
John Wells (The Company Men) directed the film which is based on Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play. "August: Osage County" will be released on November 8th.
